Chief/Reverend Joseph "Onasakenrat" Swan translated the four Gospels, the Acts of the Apostles and the first epistle to the Corinthians into Kanien'kéha (Mohawk) in the late 1800's. In 1999, a group of Mohawk people joined together to work as a team on the translation of the remainder of the Bible. Some of Chief Swan's descendants are part of this team.


Our Creator God is awesome. The Creation made by God is incredible. The Word of God is powerful. God changes lives as we open ourselves up to wisdom and knowledge, love, forgiveness and healing freely provided. The Word of God was given to us at a heavy price, yet it is free, no strings attached. Generations of us have benefitted from God's Words and we intend to pass this on to many generations to come.
